Genesis 1:5

Genesis 1:5 is the fifth verse in the first chapter of the Book of Genesis. In this verse, God finishes his first command of light, forming day and night.

God called the light day and the darkness night: In ancient times, naming something or somewhere was a sign of power and importance; therefore, both day and night belong to God.
